Eugene Police seek wanted man after domestic dispute

EUGENE, Ore. – The Eugene Police Department is on the lookout for a man they say threatened a woman with a handgun Tuesday morning.

Police say Tuesday morning, they responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 3600 block of Bardell Avenue.

They learned Joshua Austin Thomas had threatened a woman with a handgun and that he may be inside the home.

After ensuring the woman was safe, officers attempted to contact Thomas, but they were unsuccessful.

Now, police do not know Thomas’ whereabouts and they say he is known to carry weapons.

Wednesday, a SWAT team also responded to an apartment on Q and 15th streets in Springfield after receiving a tip that Thomas was inside.

Police left the area after failing to find Thomas.

Eugene Police and Springfield Police checked several locations in the area for Thomas after receiving tips from the public.

Thomas has a current warrant for parole violation. He is known to frequent locations in Eugene, Springfield, and possibly the Corvallis area.
