Eugene Police looking for bike stolen in Coburg Road area

EUGENE, Ore. - One bicyclist's mission is on pause right now after his bike was stolen in Eugene.

Eugene Police say the Virginia man is on a nationwide bike race. They say at around 10 a.m. on Monday, he left his bike outside the Safeway on Coburg Road without a lock. When he returned, both the bike and the trailer for it were gone.

"The last information we got was that somebody observed the suspect with the bike up on the River Road area at the KFC," said Sgt. Gregg Magnus, with the Eugene Police Department.

The bike is described as a Kestrel Model 4,000 Pro SL. EPD also says the stolen trailer is a Burley Nomad Model with a yellow rain cover.
