ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Fairgoers are heading to Roseburg for entertainment this week as the Douglas County Fair kicked off Wednesday and continues through Saturday.
Officials estimated 35-to-48 percent of the people attending are from out-of-county.
There's live entertainment all day, including carnival rides, a balloon man and major concerts each night.
"We really officially open up at 7 a.m. and that's for the people who want to come and watch the agricultural part," said fair director Harold Phillips. "The carnival, the buildings and the food court opens up at 11 a.m.; our buses start coming in at 11 o'clock."
There are five locations around Roseburg where people can park and a bus will take you to the fair free of charge.
The opening concert Wednesday night featured country superstar Martina McBride.
Thursday's show features rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd.
