EUGENE, Ore. – The ballots are out for the Lane County special election on May 16.

The ballot this election includes school board candidates for several districts, fire, water and library district candidates, and parks and recreation positions.

There are also several measures for fire departments, the Lane County Jail, and the Fern Ridge Library.

The county clerk asks voters to read their ballots from front to back because there are several different versions.

“We have 247 ballot styles for this election. What you received is based on your residential address, so if you're in a different school district, you may have something different than even your neighbor,” said Cheryl Betschart, Lane County Clerk.

If you’re registered to vote in Lane County, you should receive your ballot by Tuesday.
