EUGENE, O.R- The gates opened Saturday night at PK Park in Eugene, and the first 1,000 fans received an Ashton Eaton bobblehead.

The game kicked off at 7:30, and the Ems say this is a fantastic way to honor the trials and the timing could not have been better.

The Ems' General Manager Allan Benavides said, "[Eaton] works out and lives in our back yard, so we just thought it'd be a fun way to do a unique promotion, non-baseball related, honoring the trials, and doing something cool here in Eugene."

Specialty TrackTown jerseys will be auctioned off Saturday night as well.

All proceeds go to supporting local youth sports.

Sunday night is also the big fireworks night at PK Park. That's in celebration of Fourth of July.
