After several sponsors, including Speedo, dropped Ryan Lochte over the Rio robbery scandal - the embattled Olympic swimmer is joining the cast of next season's "Dancing With the Stars."

UsWeekly reports he signed on to season 23 of the show, citing insiders claiming it will help his image.

The 32-year-old called his behavior at a Rio gas station "immature," and his original story "over-exaggerated."

He and three other teammates were caught on surveillance video damaging property.

Police said the group was drunk, and paid the owner for the damages before leaving the scene.

Reps for the TV show didn't confirm the casting rumor.
