Monday’s total solar eclipse left many Americans in awe and looking forward to the next time they can stand in the moon’s shadow.

But how long do these eager viewers have to wait for the next solar eclipse?

NASA says the next total solar eclipse in the United States will be on April 8, 2024.

Unfortunately, this total solar eclipse won’t be visible in Oregon.

It will come up through Mexico and enter the U.S. in Texas. Then, it will move northeast through Illinois, New York and Maine before it leaves North America in Newfoundland.

According to NASA, there will also be another partial solar eclipse on February 15, 2018. But this eclipse will only be visible in Antarctica and South America.

The next total solar eclipse will be on July 2, 2019 with totality running through Chile and Argentina.
