Kelsey Christensen is a Minnesota native with a love for the Pacific Northwest outdoors. She is so excited to call Oregon home!
She studied journalism and global studies at the University of Minnesota. But, before starting her career in news, she worked as a paramedic for the Mayo Clinic. She always knew she wanted to be a journalist, but being a medic fed her adrenaline in the meantime.
During her time as a Gopher, Kelsey was a reporter and photographer for the Minnesota Daily. She interned as a communications assistant for the Office of Governor Mark Dayton before diving into the journalistic side at WCCO and KARE-11 as an intern.
She also spent time in Mongolia interning at Channel 1 News International.
When she isn’t chasing a story, you can find Kelsey looking for a deal at an antique shop, making pottery or playing tennis. But, the easiest way to find her is at a local restaurant trying out a new dish!
She is honored to cover the stories that live in her community and is excited to get to know the people in it.
