May 20, 2018 | Eugene Symphonic Band Spring Concert

The Eugene Symphonic Band, conducted by Dr. Rodney Dorsey, concludes its 60th season with a special Spring Concert, on Sunday, May 20, 3:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 3550 Fox Meadow Road.

Admission is free, and donations are accepted.

The Eugene Symphonic Band was founded in 1957 by the late Robert Vagner, who was a long-time University of Oregon Band Director. The band consists of 65 local musicians from a variety of occupations who volunteer their time and talents, some of them traveling many miles. The goals of the band are to provide enjoyable concerts for the community while promoting the musicianship and esprit de corps that are unique to the concert band, and to award a multi-year college scholarship annually.
