Woman, 3 kids injured as dump truck collides with minivan

CENTRALIA, Wash. - A woman and three children were injured as a dump truck collided with a minivan Wednesday morning in Centralia, emergency officials say.

Police and medics responded to the scene, near the intersection of West Reynolds Avenue and North Pearl Street, at about 7:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash.

The crumpled wreckage of a minivan was found at the scene.

The occupants, a woman and three children, were rescued from the vehicle. The children were taken to the emergency room at a local hospital. The woman sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
