CORVALLIS, Ore. - A fuel truck crashed on Highway 99W Friday morning, spilling gasoline and diesel fuel on the highway.
The crash 10 miles north of Corvallis closed the highway in both directions. One lane was back open as of 9:45 a.m.
Oregon DOT said the truck spilled large amounts of regular and diesel fuel on the highway.
Hazmat teams are in the process of cleaning up the area.
"The southbound lane will be closed the rest of the day for cleanup," Oregon DOT said Friday morning in a statement. "Travelers are advised to expect delays and be aware of work crews in the area. Take an alternate route if possible."
The driver of the truck was not injured.
No word yet on what caused the accident.
