AUBURN, Wash. - A suspected DUI driver is under arrest after his pickup truck plowed into the front of an Auburn doughnut shop, barely missing two customers as they were entering the store.

Officers responded to the scene, in the 900 block of Auburn Way South, at about 8:25 a.m. Friday after receiving reports of a truck hitting the Donut Star shop.

Arriving there, police found a white pickup had smashed into a concrete barrier outside the shop. The pickup driver was taken into custody for investigation of DUI.

No one was hurt, but surveillance video from the scene showed the concrete barrier stopped the truck just inches away from two customers who were entering the store.

Police say there have been several previous crashes at the same spot - and that is why the doughnut shop had concrete barriers installed around the building.

The shop has been cleared to stay open.

The northbound lanes of Auburn Way South are closed at the scene during the cleanup and investigation of the crash.
