EUGENE, Ore. - Police have not yet been able to identify the bicyclist hit by a truck Friday night on Coburg Road.

The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet; had no lights on his bicycle; and was impaired by alcohol, police said.

He attempted to cross Coburg Road in a busy commercial district about 50 yards from the nearest crosswalk, police said.

The man remained in critical condition at the hospital on Monday.

Police have not yet been able to determine who he is, a spokesperson said.

The 23-year-old driver of the 2015 Dodge 3500 flatbed pickup that hit the bicyclist is cooperating with investigators.
