SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -Three people were taken to the hospital after a car and a Lane Transit District bus collided Wednesday morning on Harlow Road near Beverly Street.
The injured included one person on the bus; one person in the car; and a pedestrian who was hit when the car bounced off the bus onto a sidewalk, Springfield Police said.
"The car hit with such force that it spun off the bus and then also hit a pedestrian as well," Officer Mike Massey said. "Nothing at this point looks life-threatening, but everybody got transported to RiverBend hospital."
An earlier version of this story indicated 4 people were taken to the hospital, based on an account from Eugene Springfield Fire.
Police said the car hit the bus from behind on Harlow Road.
The car bounced off the bus onto the sidewalk, hitting a pedestrian.
One of the 15 people aboard the bus was taken to the hospital.
Two people were in the car; one was taken to the hospital.
Police said all three should survive their injuries.
