Log truck crash closes Hwy 226 near Lyons

LYONS, Ore. - A crash involving a log truck closed Highway 226 on Tuesday, about 4 miles west of Lyons.

"The road is expected to be closed for investigation," Oregon DOT said at 12:30 p.m.

At 1 p.m., Oregon State Police said to "expect extended delay" on Twitter.

The state's TripCheck website showed the highway still closed as of 3 p.m.

"Travelers are advised to take an alternate route and expect delays in the area," ODOT said.

The road was back open by 4:30 p.m.

No word yet on the cause of the crash or the extent of injuries, if any.
