Crash sends driver to hospital, slows traffic between Lebanon and Sweet Home

LEBANON, Ore. - Two cars collided on Highway 20 Friday afternoon, sending one person to the hospital and slowing traffic for an hour, the Lebanon Fire District said.

Witnesses reported a Ford sedan turned left onto the highway from Fairview Road, headed towards Sweet Home.

The Ford pulled into the path of an oncoming Honda on Hwy 20.

The two cars collided at high speed, trapping the driver of the Ford inside.

Firefighters worked for an hour to free the driver, removing the roof of the car in the process.

Medics took the driver to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Three people in the Honda were evaluated at the scene and declined treatment, according to firefighters.
