EUGENE, Ore. - A white GMC lost control on Friday morning, hitting two vehicles before flipping onto its side on Hilyard Street and 23rd Avenue.
Police say that nobody was injured in the accident.
The driver of the truck reportedly didn't yield to a vehicle traveling north on Hilyard, and accelerated to get out of the way.
They say that's when the truck lost control and fish-tailed on the wet pavement, hit two parked cars and rolled over on the passenger side.
Police say they usually see an uptick of crashes when the rainy season first hits.
"All the oil comes out of the ground, the roads are very slick," said Sean Dillon of the Eugene Police Department. "And then all the oils in your tires, they haven't been wet in awhile so that's just a rough combination for quick acceleration."
Officer Dillon says the driver was not impaired with drugs or alcohol, and no citations were issued.
