GASTON, Ore. – A truck crashed into a power pole along Highway 47 outside Gaston Thursday morning, and the falling pole struck a passing SUV
The collision was reported about 6:30 a.m. at Hwy. 47 milepost 28, which is two miles west of the Washington-Yamhill County line.
According to emergency crews at the scene, the truck's driver crashed into a ditch and took out a power pole near Goodin Creek Road.
The fallen power pole struck an SUV and caused the vehicle's airbags to go off.
The drivers only suffered minor injuries in the incident, officials said.
ODOT is asking drivers to find another route or expect delays.
