Churchill to play for state title after upset of No. 1 Mountain View

HILLSBORO, Ore. -- No. 4 Churchill has earned a spot in the OSAA 5A football state title game after an upset win over top-ranked Mountain View Saturday night at Liberty High School in Hillsboro.

The Lancers knocked off the Intermountain Conference champions 35-28, handing the Cougars (9-1) their only loss of the season.

Churchill (12-0) will face No. 3 Hermiston in the title game next Saturday. The Bulldogs (9-2) defeated Wilsonville 35-27 in the semifinals to reach the championship.
