EUGENE, Ore. - As the College Football Coaching Carousel continues to churn into December, you can now add Oregon Ducks head coach Willie Taggart to the list of names that could possibly be on the move from their current positions.

On Friday morning, Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher announced he was leaving the program to become the head coach at Texas A&M, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

The Seminoles have reportedly been vetting Taggart as a potential replacement candidate should Fisher leave, and FootballScoop is reporting that he is expected to be offered the job.

On Friday afternoon at his scheduled press conference with the media, Taggart said he would not address the rumors that he could be leaving Oregon.

Taggart grew up in Florida and previously coached at University of Southern Florida. According to some, FSU has always been one of Taggart's dream jobs.

Despite the rumors, Taggart repeatedly tried to steer the conversation back to the football team, and said a number of times that he would not address the rumors about him leaving.

Following a 7-5 season with the Ducks, and amidst the rumors that Taggart could be targeted by FSU, the University of Oregon offered Taggart a contract extension last weekend, which Sports Illustrated reported is a five-year deal worth $20 million.

Taggart confirmed the offer, and says that him and his agent are looking over it.

As of now, this is a developing story, and we will update it as soon as more information is made available.
