Oregon college student competing to win 300km dogsled trek in Arctic
A University of Oregon college student is asking for your help in winning the adventure of a lifetime.
Portland-born Sheldon Maxwell, who's currently working towards an M.S. in Sports Product Design, has entered to be a part of Fjällräven Polar, a 300 km journey by dogsled through the Arctic in April.
To be chosen, he needs to get the highest number of votes. Maxwell is currently in 7th place in all of North America.
His profile reads:
"I’m Sheldon and I live in Portland, OR where I am working on my master’s in Sports Product Design. This trek combines my desire to explore the world and my passion for the outdoors with my enthusiasm for great products (Fjällräven). I am always looking for once in a lifetime experiences and Polar is definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity!"
This isn't the first time Maxwell has entered an adventure competition. Two years ago, he was part of a competition with Red Bull, where he races across Europe using only Red Bull as currency.
