OSU will head to NCAA College World Series after defeating Vanderbilt in game two
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State Beavers are heading to the College World Series after defeating Vanderbilt in Goss Stadium Saturday night.
This is the sixth time the team will head to Omaha to compete for the title in the program’s history.
The top-seeded Beavers defeated Vanderbilt 9-2.
KJ Harrison hit a home run in the third inning. Bryce Fehmel was pitching and held Vanderbilt to five hits and two runs.
OSU scored three runs in the seventh inning and two in the eighth to secure the win.
OSU is slated to take on the winner of Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton. They play game three Sunday.
The NCAA College World Series bracket is expected to be announced Monday at 8 p.m.
