Air Force veteran without family gets proper burial at Willamette National Cemetery
An Air Force veteran who died last month without family to claim her received a proper burial at Willamette National Cemetery Monday.
Casey Kathleen Finnegan died Jan. 26. Her body was taken to Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home, which works with the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veteran Burial Program.
Through the program, the funeral home was able to provide burial services for Finnegan at no cost. Theater students from Clackamas High School were in attendance, paying tribute through "A Piece of My Hear," a true story of women who served in Vietnam.
