Sheriff IDs girl who may have been hit by passing car along rural road
JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. —
Jackson County Sheriff's Office have released the name of the victim of the incident that happened on the 5100 block of East Evans Creek Road on Monday.
According to deputies, Meadow Boyd,13, was waiting for the school bus at the end of her driveway when the incident happened.
A person who was passing by found her and performed CPR until JCSO could arrive.
Meadow was taken to Rogue Regional Medical Center to be treated for her injuries where she was pronounced dead.
JCSO detectives believe she may have been struck by a vehicle or an item attached to a vehicle. The driver may have not been aware they had injured Meadow.
Deputies are asking anyone who drove through that area around 6:45 a.m. and 7:29 a.m. to check their vehicles for damages and to report any issues immediately.
