Police: Glendale man arrested in child sex abuse case
GLENDALE, Ore. -- Detectives have arrested a Glendale man following a child sex abuse investigation, Douglas County Sheriff's Office reports.
On December 19, 2017, deputies took a report of possible sex abuse involving a minor child.
On Tuesday, December 26, sheriff's office detectives took over the investigation and learned the child had been assaulted by a man known to the child, the report said.
The investigation continued.
On January 12 detectives, with assistance from Oregon State Police, arrested 48 year-old George Ervin Ray of Glendale on child sex crimes.
He was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on two charges of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and two charges Sexual Penetration in the First Degree.
Bail is set at $150,000.
