'I know what a dab is:' Paul Ryan reacts to viral dab during swearing-in ceremony

It wasn't your typical swearing-in photo op.

Newly elected Kansas Congressman Roger Marshall's 17-year-old son decided to dab during the photo op earlier this month.

The moment caught Speaker Paul Ryan off guard, as he told the teen to put his hand down - thinking he was covering a sneeze.

"Are you all right?" Ryan asked before advising him to stop.

In a town hall hosted by CNN, Ryan addressed the gaffe - saying he knows what a dab is.

Turns out, he thought Marshall's son was sneezing.

"It looked like he was sneezing. It looked a little strange to me at the time. I think that went viral, I got made fun of for that," he told CNN's Jake Tapper.

"I actually do know what a dab is. Just for the record.. So the most amusing thing will be a week ago, where we swore people in, this congressman's son, we are doing the post. We were doing it. He wasn't doing a dab by the way, it looks like he was sneezing, going like this, holding a bible like. This that's not dabing in my opinion. Cam Newton dabs. "
