Woman bitten by nurse shark in Florida, taken to hospital with shark still attached
BOCA RATON, Fla. (WPEC) - A 23-year-old woman was bitten by a 2-foot-long nurse shark in Boca Raton on Sunday.
She was taken to the hospital with the shark still attached to her arm, according to Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services.
The call came in at approximately 1:20 p.m., advising that someone had been bitten by a shark. The crew responded to the scene at 1400 N. Ocean Blvd.
The shark was killed before Fire Rescue Services arrived, but firefighters were unable to remove it from the woman's arm at the scene.
The woman was taken to Boca Raton Regional Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
