Third Amtrak derailment victim identified as 40-year-old Auburn man

TACOMA, Wash. - The third victim killed in Monday's Amtrak derailment along Interstate 5 has been identified as a 40-year-old Auburn man.

He has been identified as Benjamin Gran. The other two were previously identified as Zack Willhoite, 35, and Jim Hamre, 61.

Gran has been in the news in the past because of a criminal case. The Associated Press has quoted the U.S. Attorney's Office in Seattle as confirming that the Amtrak victim and the man in the criminal case are the same person.
