Open water Olympic athletes concerned about Rio's water pollution
Athletes preparing to forge open waters in the Rio de Janeiro summer olympics aren't exacly thrilled at some of the obstacles floating around.
According to CNN, the German Olympic sailing team don't want to get into the water.
"We don't want to swim in it," said Victoria Jurczok.
Jurczok and her teammate Anika Lorenz said they've struck garbage while training on the water near Rio.
Residents tell CNN certain areas of town don't even have modern sewage.
The Mayor of Rio said he believes the water will be safe for athletes.
