Community comes together to help 8-year old boy with degenerative disease
SOUTHERN OREGON —
The Southern Oregon community is coming together rallying behind Carter Anderson.
Anderson is an 8-year old boy who has a degenerative neurological disease called PKAN.
The Southern Oregon Veterans Association decided to help Carter and his family by hosting a softball tournament, to help raise money to help fund treatment, not only from him, but for others around the word who have PKAN.
Carter's dad, Blair Anderson says there is a cure for PKAN, but there isn't enough funding to roll out the treatment.
