UO Police: Bomb threat forces evacuation of Agate Hall on University of Oregon campus
EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon Police evacuated Agate Hall on Tuesday after a bomb threat was made against the building.
Police closed Agate Street at 15th and 18th avenues to traffic.
Police first sent a tweet around 2:38 p.m. reporting police activity at Agate Hall.
According to Tobin Klinger, of UO Media Relations, the Eugene SWAT team is in the building now.
Both the building and pedestrians on the opposite side of Agate Street have been evacuated.
"Please avoid the area until further notice," the tweet read.
A spokesperson has since said authorities received a bomb threat against the building.
Police entered and searched the building, eventually clearing the scene. No bomb was found.
