SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A teen stole a gun from his father and used the weapon in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night, Springfield Police said.

Officers arrested the suspect's girlfriend for misleading investigators, police said.

As of Wednesday morning, it does not appear anyone was hit by the gunfire, police said.

Police said witnesses reported 2 or 3 rounds were fired from a dark-colored vehicle. Witnesses reported the vehicle belonged to Gannon, police said.

Officers responded to Gannon's Springfield home, where he lives with his mom and dad. Police arrested Gannon as he returned home. The car was found parked at Riverbend Elementary School about a mile away. Police said the car contained evidence of the shooting and had it towed.

Investigators determined Gannon stole a key to his father's gun safe and then stole a handgun, police said.

Officers arrested Landry after she misled officers and hindered the investigation, police said.
