Sheriff: Albany woman hit by car suffers life-threatening injuries; suspect at large
ALBANY, Ore. - Deputies are looking for a car that hit a pedestrian and drove off, leaving the woman with life-threatening injuries.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office responded at 3:28 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a woman lying on the side of Old Salem Road in Millersburg, not far from ATI, the sheriff's office said.
The woman - identified as Rachele Ann Bowes, 38, of Albany - suffered life-threatening injuries, the sheriff's office said.
Detectives suspect Bowes was hit by a dark blue 1999 to 2005 Volkswagen.
"The vehicle will most likely have front end damage," the sheriff's office said.
