Save your used shoes and shirts for KMTR's Giving Tuesday clothing drive
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - KMTR is teaming up with Rife's Home Furniture to hold a Giving Tuesday clothing drive. The event will help Clothes for the Cause, a benefit for the Eugene Mission.
It's the time of year to clear out your closets as you make room for new holiday gifts. So why not put those old shirts and ties toward something that betters the community?
The only requirements are that the clothes are in good condition and placed inside tall, white kitchen garbage bags. Drop off sites will be at KMTR NewsSource 16 at 3825 International Court in Springfield and Rife's Home Furniture on Coburg Road.
KMTR's goal is to collect 20,000 pounds of clothing which could earn $4,000 for the Eugene Mission. The event runs December 1 - 18.
Here are items that Clothes for the Cause will accept:
- Clothing-New and gently used
- Shoes (paired only)
- Stuffed Animals
- Blankets, quilts and bedspreads
Tell your friends, family and neighbors and let's make a difference!
