Route leading to Crater Lake reopened after Monday closure
CRATER LAKE, Ore. -- The route leading to Crater Lake National Park was reopened Tuesday evening.
Oregon 62 leading into Crater Lake National Park was closed Monday evening due to heavy snowfall, Oregon Department of Transportation reported.
The route was closed at the intersection of Oregon 230, just north of Union Creek.
ODOT resources focused on keeping Oregon 230 and 138 open to traffic during the time of the closure, officials said.
Heavy snowfall had closed Oregon 62 inside the park and the road leading to park headquarters, ODOT said.
