Roseburg woman back home after shooting in Las Vegas

"I said: there's somebody shooting at us and it's stopped for now or whatever, but I don't know if I'm going to make it out of here," she recalled Thursday. "So I love you and please make sure that the kids know that I love them." (SBG)

ROSEBURG, Ore. - Meghan LaMont and friends were enjoying Jason Aldean in Las Vegas on Sunday night when she heard pops that sounded to her like fireworks.

Then she realized it was gunfire.

Meghan took cover behind wooden bleachers - and called her husband.

"I said: there's somebody shooting at us and it's stopped for now or whatever, but I don't know if I'm going to make it out of here," she recalled Thursday. "So I love you and please make sure that the kids know that I love them."

Meghan ran and hid inside a nearby casino.

After surviving the worst mass shooting in modern history, Meghan says she hopes people can forcus on their love for one another rather than the hateful act that took place.
