Prineville man found in good spirits and health
After four days of extensive and exhaustive searching, Jerry Thomas, a 70-year-old man from Prineville, has been found alive and well.
Thomas was found by ground crews Saturday morning, near Daly Lake, approximately three miles from the Parish Lake Trailhead.
Thomas was wet and hungry, but in good spirits and good health.
Upon being reunited with his wife, who is a registered nurse, Thomas declined medical treatment.
"This is a testament to the teamwork, dedication and tenacity of all involved," said Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley. "Being part of a life-saving mission such as this is one of the most satisfying rewards we can experience in law enforcement."
The family has requested no media contact at this time.
