Lt. Scott McKee said Wilkerson was involved in a dispute with the woman, who was a fellow resident of a campsite near the Walmart store. At some point in the dispute, Wilkerson used pepper spray on the woman.
The woman ran to Walmart and bought two gallons of milk, which she poured all over her face to ease the pain, McKee said. A customer who saw the woman in pain also bought two gallons of milk and poured it on her face.
That's when store staff and patrons called police, McKee said.
