Police identify Eugene man shot & killed during neighborly dispute
EUGENE, Ore. -- Authorities have released the identity of the man killed during a dispute between neighbors Sunday in Eugene.
Lane County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported dispute in the 2500 block of Donegal Street.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man who had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on scene.
The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Michael Long of Eugene.
Jeffrey Witt was taken into custody Sunday in connection with Long’s death and lodged at the Lane County Jail on a murder charge.
Police say Witt was arraigned Monday at the jail.
