LEBANON, Ore. – A bank robbery suspect is in custody after officers arrested him Tuesday, the Lebanon Police Department said.

Police arrested Jeffery Martin Lee Peak, 46, in the coastal area Tuesday with the assistance of Lincoln City Police Department, the FBI and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Lebanon police, on June 6 at about 5:58 p.m., officers responded to a reported robbery at the Chase Back at 75 E Grant Street in Lebanon.

Witnesses told officers the suspect ran from the bank east bound on Grant Street.

Officers searched the area, but did not find the suspect.

Later, police said a concerned citizen located a jacket matching what the suspect was wearing at the time of the robbery and called police.

Investigators recovered the jacket. They used the jacket and other evidence left at the bank and sent the items to the Oregon State Crime Lab for analysis.

The Oregon State Crime Lab helped detectives confirm the suspect was Peak. Peak is a transient, police said.

Police said Peak was taken into custody without incident.

The case is still under investigation.
