Oregon Coast Aquarium looking for 'ocean ambassadors'
NEWPORT, Ore. - The Oregon Coast Aquarium is looking for a few good fish friends to become their new squad of ocean ambassadors.
They will be training new volunteers to help out around the aquarium this summer.
The free, six-week program covers the coastal and marine fauna of Oregon. After graduation, volunteers would spend a few hours each week at exhibits, sharing their knowledge with aquarium guests. Officials say an average of more than 400,000 people visit the aquarium each year.
Volunteers will get behind the scenes tours, discounts, and a free membership to the aquarium.
If you are interested, you must apply by March 21 - contact the Aquarium's Volunteer Services department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
