Medical examiner identifies body found near Myrtle Creek as man missing since December
MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. - The body found along the South Umpqua River on Monday has been identified as a Myrtle Creek man reported missing in December 2016, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.
The medical examiner identified the body as 43-year-old Brian David Clark, the sheriff said.
Clark was reported missing in December 2016.
The medical examiner notified Clark's family before identifying him to the public.
On May 22, 2017, the medical examiner, working in conjunction with the State Medical Examiner's Office, determined that foul play was not suspected in Clark's death, the sheriff's office said.
The Douglas County Major Crimes Team has concluded their investigation.
