Man reportedly shot in arm at Albertsons in west Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. - Eugene Police responded to a 911 call on Sunday night from a man who reportedly was shot in the arm at an Albertsons in west Eugene.

Police received the call at approximately 7:40 p.m., and say that the man called 911 himself. Officers were unable to locate a suspect upon arrival at the scene, and they cleared the area after conducting a thorough search of the premises with a K9 crew.

The victim reported that the shooting occurred outside the store by the apartments at the southwest corner, near Unthank and Throne.

The suspect is described as a hispanic male in his 20's, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black Carhart-style pants.

The victim claimed to be shot in the forearm, and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

There is no ongoing threat to the public related to this incident. If anyone has any relevant tips in this case, or witnessed the incident, they are asked to contact the Eugene Police.
