SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Thousands of people gathered in Lively Park Saturday for the MEGGA HUNT, Lane County’s largest Easter egg hunt.

The 56th annual MEGGA Hunt saw excited kids enjoying face painting, music, and of course, egg hunts.

The event featured 25,000 eggs for kids to find.

Nearly 50 Willamalane staff members and volunteers organized the Easter tradition.

“We just love being able to provide a low cost hunt for kids in the area and it's a great way to be able to have kids recreate with their family too,” said Jana Weaver, Willamalane special events organizer.

Children of all ages hunted for hidden eggs filled with candy, prizes, stickers and tattoos.
