Injured Bald Eagle found in Hood River
HOOD RIVER, Ore. —
Oregon State Police and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife officials are working to find out what happened to a Bald Eagle who was found injured just outside Hood River.
A Hood River resident found the eagle on Post Canyon Road Tuesday, and contacted state officials. Crews received several other calls from residents, who reported the eagle was flying low and appearing unsteady in flight before crashing into a small creek.
It was hospitalized at the Rowena Wildlife Clinic for treatment, where veterinarians didn't find any obvious injuries to the eagle.
An X-ray is scheduled and blood samples have been taken for analysis.
