SISTERS, Ore. - The Hoodoo Ski Area opened on Friday, thanks to 20 inches of snow this week.

Hoodoo officials say with the winter break lasting for a couple more weeks, and Christmas Day right around the corner, this is a perfect time to open.

They warn skiers and snowboarders to be ready for the pre-season conditions, but at last check of the website, there's about 26 inches of snow at the base.

The bus from Berg's Ski Shop to the mountain will start running on Thursday.
