ODOT is working to make sure campers and hikers can get out of the area.
The Milli Fire has caused public access closures on the National Forest, as well as put many residents near Sisters on notice to be prepared to evacuate.
The McKenzie Pass Highway is open seasonally. It closes in the winter due to snow - and, in this case, in the summer due to fire.
