Girl gets shopping spree wish granted in Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. - A young girl who is battling a serious illness had her wish granted on Saturday in Eugene.
Ashlee Cleary has a condition that causes tumors to form on her nervous system, and after many surgeries, she was able to spend her day at the Valley River Center for a shopping spree.
Thanks to the Kids Wish Network and a number of shops at the mall, Ashlee got her hair done, picked out new outfits and went out for lunch with her mom.
"She's recovering nicely and she's doing well right now," said Debra Cleary, Ashlee's mom. "We're just really happy for everybody showing all this support and love to her, it really, really does make a difference in helping her to feel valued and wanted."
Some of the stores that Ashlee went to on Saturday were JC Penny, Forever 21, Sephora and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
