Firefighters rescue trapped motorist after early morning crash in icy conditions

Clackamas firefighters successfully rescued a trapped motorist who crashed early Tuesday morning in icy conditions on a Boring, Ore., road.

The crash was in the 9100 block of Southeast 282nd Avenue sometime just before 5:30 a.m. Two people were injured.

Deputies shut down Southeast 282nd for a mile from Stone Road to Haley Road.

Temperatures dipped down to 31 degrees on the hillside overnight, freezing precipitation from Monday.

The extent of the patients' injuries were not released, but emergency responders took both to the hospital.

No further information was immediately available.
