House fire on E. 18th in Eugene started in attic, officials say
EUGENE, Ore. -- East 18th Avenue is back open after a house fire Thursday morning.
Eugene-Springfield Fire responded to the fire around 7:20 a.m.
The fire chief said a fire started in the attic of the home.
They were able to contain it in the attic and put it out quickly.
The fire chief says there were no injuries.
Eugene Police closed down E. 18th between Ferry and Patterson streets, but 18th is now back open after crews finished cleaning up the area.
